Badir Program wins award from Global Brands Magazine
Badir Program for Technology Incubators and Accelerators, one of the leading initiatives of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, bagged award from the UK-based Global Brands Magazine (GBM) for the "Best Start-up Technology Incubator & Accelerator in Saudi Arabia .
GBM is one of the world's most admired brand publications, devoted to news and opinions on brands that are shaping the future of their industry. The magazine provides its readers with the latest news and information on 'best-in-class' brands across the globe. Each year, GBM develops a series of awards for companies that have stood out among their industry leaders, demonstrating exceptional service and unique vision.
Badir Program won the awards for promoting and supporting technology innovation and entrepreneurship across Saudi Arabia through comprehensive national programs as well as strategic policy initiatives in cooperation with governmental entities, private sector, and universities, that are alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 .

Badir Program was established in 2007 to improve and support technical entrepreneurship throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by helping the strategic policy applied in entrepreneurship and incubators in collaboration with government agencies, universities and the private sector.
Total funding for startups under the Badir Program has reached SR 150.951 million ($40.253 million) since inception until the end of June 2018. The program aims to establish 600 startups and create 3,600 jobs by 2020.
